Nah, Somalis who actually speak Arabic speak whatever variety of the country they spent time in. We still use terminology specific to informal Algeri/Maghrebi Arabic among family, even though we can’t speak it masterfully like we used to.

My cousins born and raised in the UAE/Saudi speak Arabic fluently like there Arabs themselves. I have a cousin from Jeddah who doesn’t speak Somali fluently, he only speaks Arabic.

Idk about what’s taught back home but the Somalis who live in Arab countries speak the local dialects of the nation they live in.
