The problem with Somali politics is the lack of humility. Have small goals. At least then you have a chance at achieving them.

Somali politics? Somali culture tends to want everything with very little effort? Big dreamers Somali which isn't a bad thing tho, it's just dreams r useless without a plan and accepting its small steps not u will reach the mountain over nite. Dudes even loot industry titles for status and money but have none of the skills.

How many u see call an international airport that isn't one or a cinema with a TV box or How.many politicians u see in roles and high titles but u know his capacity mentally(danyeer). Even sheikhs are all self appointed and claim.status with little Islamic knowledge or their iq is low and their Islam is just as bad.

The whole nation waa up 4 sale(wa beec). Up for sale in the past was never more then human slavery now it's we gonna sell anything and everything and make ur whole nation a product(yaab).

🤣 You are the definition of a smart dumb nigga. Sound smart but actually not.

Most of the incompetence and corruption stems from Somali politicians and bureaucrats not believing big goals can be achieved, lack of conviction.

Somali business communities don’t suffer from this and we’ve seen their achievements: advanced telecommunications and IT, an entire seaport built from scratch in central Somalia etc.

You are both wrong. It’s all about incentives. Somalias system has horrific incentives which optimize theft and corruption. Show me the incentives and all show you the outcome, as the great philosopher and billionaire Charlie Munger said. @DR OSMAN

Thankfully cash is king in the private sectors, nepotism and lack of quality will cost you dearly, but in the public sector, it's rife with high levels of corruption coming straight from highest levels of government.

im not sure it’s so easy to delineate the two in places like Somalia or Africa. Many times corrupt government hands out contracts to family, as we see with Culusow and Fat Guelleh. It’s not truly private. It’s like they are both part of some amorphous corrupt system. There was recently also the case of the Arab guy who got all the contracts to ship Somalia/SL/Djibouti livestock to the gulf. It’s a whole system of state capture that has no end.
