Ethnic cleaning of red sea afars
Source: A tweet from 2021 from an Ethiopian Afar separatist.

Being thrown in jail for political dissidence is not unique to Afars. I imagine they had some involvement with RSADO. If you totalled up the numbers, they are probably underrepresented in this. To say it’s “ethnic cleansing” is laughable. Especially when you consider that the fastest growing ethnic groups in Eritrea are the Saho and Afar, while the ones leaving in mass exodus are the Tigrinya and Blin. Pretty shoddy job of ethnic cleansing.

Eritrean Afars aren’t oppressed (uniquely anyway). They are on the whole one of the more loyal ethnic groups to Eritrea
Which ethnic groups are the most and least loyal to the current regime in Eritrea? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m assuming the most loyal are Tigrinya and the least loyal Tigre/Beni amer.

Also which ethnic group settle Massawa?

Least loyal? Probably Rashaida and Akele Guzai Tigrinyas.

The former are Arabs who kind of live amongst themselves and don’t bother anyone. The latter have elevated levels of Agame sympathy and heritage.

On the whole, all ethnic groups are still exceedingly loyal to the idea of an Eritrean state and “hade hzbi, hade libi” (one people, one heart) in comparison to a country like Ethiopia. There’s no grassroots secessionist movement that has been started in Eritrea. Groups like RSADO and DMLEK have all been started by Ethiopian members of ethnic groups that spill into both countries.

Massawa has always been pretty cosmopolitan. Was mostly settled by Tigre and Tigrinya pre-independence. Also contains an Afar and Saho minority. Nowadays it’s probably got a Tigrinya majority with a significant Tigre minority. Internal migration in Eritrea is mostly bidirectional nowadays. Tigrinya people are moving out of cities like Asmara for cities like Massawa, Keren, Agordat etc while the other ethnic groups are moving in

they've been taking Ls ever since
Awate’s son confronted Isaias and got his passport revoked (with his family suffering as similar fate). Nothing to do with him being half-Tigre lmao. This is the same time period that Isaias locked up the G15

Because they are all fucking programmed.
Ehy do you think a baria like mengistu killed general andom.
Mengistu was half Konso/half Amhara no?

Aman Andom was a unionist. He wasn’t pro-Eritrean secession but he was somewhat sympathetic to the plight of Eritreans.
