The story is true, Ethiopian national TV reported it by interviewing the Airforce chief. It looks like PM Abiy is trying to help Farmajo, whom the regions accuse of unable to weaken Al-Kebab. It could also be that PM Abiy sees Al-Kebab as a TPLF tool to get western aid and strategic importance while weakening Somalia. Unlike TPLF, PM Abiy believes in honest cooperation and he thinks a united and strong Somalia is a better ally for Ethiopia than a fragmented failed state. It seems that the days of Al-Kebab could be numbered (just like Abdi Iley), if Ethiopia does a serious effort to wipe it out. That also means we Ethiopians could soon become a target of Al-Kebab terrorist attacks. Remember Al-Kebab never hit Ethiopia thanks to its links to TPLF. Now that link seem to be gone after PM Abiy replaced all the TPLF generals that were stationed in Somalia.

The garoweonline news is a bit misleading. It says fighter jets were used for the strike but this is not true. Yes, the US uses fighter jets for their strikes but this Ethiopian strike was performed using fighter Helicopters and not fighter jets according to the Ethiopian national TV. It said the fighter helicopter squad performed the strike.

Good airstrike on shabab, their not our people only racially they are. They hold vastly different cultural norms and foreign mind-sets. May they be extinguished from Somalia. It is not our culture to use force or violence nor the nomadic spirit because it's considered shameful that you needed force w a nin jabay bay ku oranayan somalida mid xoog uu bahan. Somalis prefer to be convinced with words and free thought, philosophy, poetry, and pure intelligence only then will a Somali respect you. Free-thinking allows the mind to be open while each person keeps his clan identity.

We must promote the use of free thinking to develop our human capital so they can become successful. A mind that isn't exploring isn't creating and if we restrict it, we will be doomed to backwardness as superstitions overtakes us and even other societies. Free thinking doesn't mean to lose your identity, your still mister majerten and muslim but your mind will not be restricted to talk and think how you please, there will be no gun on you or any shame from society to outcast u. Our human capital will then explode and Somalis will be seen as enlightened.

Our culture is already enlightened but we seem to have drifted from it due to foreign interference and colonial legacies left over which we are still allowing into our nation.
