Military sources told the Sudan Tribune that Eritrean army forces had moved from Um Hajar - situated within the border triangle area between Eritrea, Sudan and Ethiopia near Sittit River - heading to Abdel Rafi area on the border between Ethiopia and Sudan.

"The Eritrean forces arrived a few days ago via Halakim, with heavy weapons," said the Sudanese military.

The Eritrean forces in Um Hajar allegedly participated alongside the Ethiopian army in its operations against the TPLF of Tigray Region. However, Asmara denied such accusations.

There is not habesha unity at the moment, Tigrayans made it clear that they're siding with Sudan over Ethiopia. It'll just be Amhara and any minorities that side with them (perhaps Afar?) + Isaias Jong-un vs Sudan + allies. Eritreans also despise Ethiopia, but you're right that Ethiopia wants to reunite with Eritrea, even though it's just because they're desperate for a coastline lol.

Lol “Eritrean army force” don’t exist. They’re forced to join then flee to neighboring countries later so Sudan knows they will collapse very fast if things goes south. The Afewerki regime have nothing but a Tigray militia protecting him.

Sudan also have the census of the ethnic groups in the refugee camps who would do anything to put the regime away so they could turn them and Eritrean deserters (and 1000s of defectors if shit goes down) into a puppet opposition armed by Sudanese and Egyptian army.
