How low we Somalis are when we’re depending on a country like Qatar who is not bigger then any Somali region and where each region has more natural resources.
Don't worry Nabad iyo Nolol crowd—things still looking good economically with Qatar. Mudane Farmaajo has made sure we have options. Like they say, don't put all your eggs in one basket

Exactly. We don’t respect the chain of command and rule of law. Basic shit that governs a country.Doesn't matter that Somalia has natural resources, it will not be able to successfully exploit them because it has a failed social model. The Gulf Arabs themselves don't have all that good of a social model, but at least the very hierarchal nature of their societies means the top strata (royals) can govern and successfully extract/sell their resources, and spread the wealth downward. Somalia's problem is there no stable top strata, and every illiterate farax thinks he can have a say in how things are to be run, even if the idiot doesn't have any clue on anything beyond what the local toothless oday told him about reer habel habel.

I noticed that when I lived in Chicago. A place with a small Somali community but high Somali taxi driver pop. When I would go over to the north side, they would be in the Restaurent talking politics and qabil like they were Presidential candidates. I vividly remember a Ogaden fellow arguing about how he matters in jubaland when he lives with 3 other taxi drivers paying 300 dollars a month in rent. CrazyYes, the so-called Somali "egalitarianism" that is romanticized is actually not a good thing. Societies need elites and for people to know their place. The strange thing about Somalis is that the uneducated man is usually interested in politics, and does not feel that his views need to defer to that of more learned people, or authority generally. Go to any Somali shop and all the uber drivers are talking about Somalia politics 24/7. It's so strange. Go to any Western bar and you'll never see working class/uneducated types talking politics beyond maybe a few jokes here and there.
