They are correct and you are incorrect. Ethiopia is a racist country and Ethiopian inherently means Amhara Christian Shewan.
As for the rest of that, that mindset is why oromos are enslaved to a gobana like Abiy, a Somali general would just change the face of the oppressor and gloss over an inherently unjust imperialist system.
Countries change though, (EG: USA is still racist, but is not as racist as when it was established, no?) so it was initially established in their image, but it will either adjust and change; or never see peace, development, perhaps cease to exist, etc.
