Those skills are needed back home, where they can make a big impact.Everybody in the West, should try to stack and learn some skills, not just educational, but physical labour skills. I would encourage Somalis to do night classes to learn how to do electrician, plumbing and other work. Not everybody is able to go back and invest a lot of money, so make sure you are employable no matter what.
Also, this is yet another reason for men to work hard on becoming the SOLE provider of the family. Of course, women should study and work, because anything can happen to a husband, but men should not marry a woman and going into it, expect half the bills paid.
We should do a convict mentorship programme or roadman programme to help youths from misfortunate backgrounds get into the higher education system. I propose free tuition on higher education for motivated youths only.
