Elon musk is an idiot. Don't believe technology is halting, so will progress. We might be able to harvest asteroids in the near future or make colonies in moon or mars but those things aren't that hard even now. We have gone thro alot but at our core we are still at the stake technological power as in the 1920s

If everything is fast and available instantly people will become more dumber and even more dependent on machines more

It’s exciting what these technologies will lead to. We know that things like computer vision, machine learning, VR and AR have already been deployed and we are starting to have an understanding of how they can help us in our everyday lives. The technology is there now we need the creativity to catch up.

Things like AI and IoTs are only available for rich cadan countries sadly. Although, I enjoyed learning how Bill Gates used algorithms to identify what parts of Nigeria was likely to be impacted by Polio, so that they could send the vaccinators there.
