Egypt is moving its capital city should Somalia do the same ?

28 miles south of Cairo there building a new capital from scratch another notable country in Africa which has done the same thing is nigeria which moved its capital from Lagos to Abuja America perfected this move with choosing DC as it’s capital

my question is should Somalia do the same and keep xamar as the financial capital and move the administrative capital to a smaller city in the south

They were moving the capital due to cairo being at the mercy of the nile or something around that right?

No. Use any available resources and funds to upgrade and reconstruct existing cities with sound master plans. Only when they have reached their full potential and carrying capacity should there be talk of a new city.

Besides, all of the problems that plagued Mogadishu is precisely because it was the capital. The moment you shift that status to a smaller or new city, the problems would just follow itself to that specific city, because of the symbolism it represents.

The capital is still within the Cairo metropolitan area.

Cairo is a city of 20 million people. 28 miles from the city centre, is still inside Cairo.

Egypts new capital plans are a disaster. Itd too expensive for regular people to move there.

Looks like money poorly spent.

You gave me a great title idea 🫡💯 we need to keep xamar as financial capital and make the administrative capital a smaller city in the south
exactly bro, xamar won't be trusted by the others considering what happened in '91 and although It is becoming stable and rebuilt that place reputation has been tainted and tarnished but the question for the new capital is where? what are the best candidates?

No huuno. These two countries u mention moved because of over population in their capital city. Somalia's population is not even close to theirs- not to mention- the number of Somalis dying of war, diseases puts a toll on the population growth
