Reaffirms Its Strategic Red Line:
Egypt Blocks Ethiopia’s Attempts to Reach the Red Sea

Egypt has renewed its firm rejection of Ethiopia’s attempts to gain a foothold on the Red Sea or to establish military bases along its shores, describing such moves as a red line that threatens both Egyptian and regional security.

Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty stated that Egypt had clearly conveyed this position to its Turkish counterparts during their hosting of the Somali-Ethiopian talks, stressing that: "The establishment of a military presence by any non-littoral state on the Red Sea is a red line. Egypt will not accept the presence of such bases under any circumstances." https://x.com/khaledmahmoued1/status/1939654002750152750?s=46

These statements come amid growing Ethiopian moves to expand access to the Red Sea through controversial agreements with unrecognized parties — actions widely seen as destabilizing and increasingly rejected by Arab and international actors.

Its time for
#Eritrea to reactivate the #Asmaraalliance 🇪🇷🇪🇬🇸🇴. Due to #Ethiopia’s plans to invade Eritrea, Eritrea should enhance the security relations with #Egypt, seek military assistance from 🇪🇬 and allow 🇪🇬 to set up a naval base in Eritrea

I don’t know if I believe Egypt, didn’t they say the same about the dam?
You don't have to.

When Ethiopia signed the MOU and wanted to station its navy in northern Somalia, Egyptians were the first to deliver hard weapons to Somalia, offered to provide troops to Somalia to replace Ethiopian forces.

then turkey came with the Ankara agreement
