I think you are not up to date. they have built new rail way, so the tracks and the trains are all new. it will cut the travel time from nairobi to mombasa from 8 hours to 4 hours.Have they updated the actual trains or the train tracks. Last time I was there they looked like the British colonialist left them there. Apparently the train stations outside of Nairobi are really dangerous and any time a train makes a stop, you should prepare to be looted by the locals.

Everyone is looking to loot you in Kenya. I'm not even exaggerating...
Yeah, they're not electric trains the last time I heard.dang they went all out on the train station. Does anyone if they are still using diesel trains?

It costed more than our one too, so I don't know if that was wise. Not sure if that is a good decision for the long run.

Last time I was there nobody went outside after sunset, lest you be looted and chopped with machetes. I remember saying to my mum all the time, that Somalis was wayyy safer.
Islii or kamorook?
Islii or kamorook?
Haha, islii but the whole of Nairobi isn't safe. At least I didnt have to stay in the open sewer known as islii, but boy did I hate to visit that area, especially when it rained. Mombassa on the other hand was lovely and much safer than Nairobi.
