H1-B visa is your best bet (it’s a lottery system). You can also find a job in Norway that has an office in the US so you can transfer. Or marry a US citizen.

No state taxes, lower cost of living and you can buy a huge home for what you’d pay for a condo in California. The weather is nice and warm year round. It’s also diverse (Houston especially, followed by Dallas).
