Makes sense kkk. I use to find loads of indians and bangladeshi search results whenever i wrote somail on the search bar. I think i even seen a bangladeshi women named somali. Turns out it's an actual word in their language.
Tell me, what did you find?
It's a bit complicated and a long story but in a nutshell while searching for the manuscript i found out that there were an attempt from yemen to invade somalia all the way to harar but some arabs living in zaylac warned the yemeni prince not to do that since the somalis are an enormous nation. The text didn't go into details or anything other than the attempt being around the 18th century. Then i came across a different source which was a hararis historical narration of an invasion led by turkish officers and arab soldier.
They sieged the city of harar and were about to take it but their ammunition depo suddenly caught fire and the harari army did a counter attack kicking them all the way to the coast. A third source spoke about how the arabs were disgruntled and angry about their defeat so they staged another invasion this time against the afar in aussa. After the raid they fled back to zaylac and the afar promised vengeance against the yemenis.
They tried to raid zaylac but guess what there were cisse living between aussa and zaylac. the afar staged a surprise attack on the cisse clan and they initially scattered but once they realized their enemy were afar they regrouped and completely destroyed them. Of cource this is all that i remember from the story currently and how i pieced it together but over all it's three different sources.
