It's a dark spot on the Dutch democratic constitutional state. Innocent, mostly minorities due to systematically ethnic profiling, were unjustly accussed by the tax office of fraud. The citizens were bankrupted, some lost custody over their kids. They went to court, but lost all the way to the supreme court. This only came to light due to insiders and whistle-blowers. The entire cabinet resigned. Ironically, the minister responsible of the tax office hailed from Rutte's party, which gained two seats in the elections. Nobody really cares apparently.

If you mean in that sense then nobody ask anyone about their input , besides it shouldn’t be an issue since democracy is a flawed system. Why would you need to ask any random joe about his opinion ? There are drunks , nonbelievers, Homosexuals and all types of degenerates within the population, their say have less importance. Therefore only a chosen few should be consulted about critical issues. Like a shura council and learned elders and Islamic scholarly graduates.
