Basically there is a rule that you lose citizenship after 10 years If you live outside the Kingdom of the Netherlands or the EU and have dual nationality

And the UK is leaving the EU in December (probs will), then a 10 year countdown for these residents starts from December

There is a bill that would make an exception for Dutch citizen in UK to gain dual citizenship in an event of a No Deal Brexit but I don’t know how that panned out tbf. @Abdalla enlighten us a.u.b

Can't you change your residence to Netherlands and move back to the UK when you're close to the 10 years countdown?
By that time you'd also have dual nationality so you could move back to the UK.
