As Somalis we need to present a serious power-sharing model to bring back Somaliland into the federal union. The only models I can think of is these two.
1. Under 4.5 power-sharing, let the hawiye share their spot with Isaaq under Irir rotation-sharing arrangement. This is the only model that will work in 4.5 without disturbing the clan power-sharing quota.
2. In a democracy model and district power-sharing model. We could share the presidency/pm on a north/south arrangement as the Isaaqs wanted. What this would mean is in 1 election only northerners can run for the presidency/pm(Isaaq n Northern Hartis) and the next election cycle only southerners/easterners.
Other then these power-sharing models, there is no other model I can think of that would satisfy all clans. This would also get Dhulos/Warsan a real chance at the presidency or PM spot in each election cycle.
Some would deem this as Hartis in 'eating both' north/south model but we have to be realistic and provide a 'somali powersharing model' or else it won't be recognized as legitimate.
