I am using Garissa as base template to work out populations based on their land area size and population census done by Kenya. They were estimated to 900k even though it's in dispute by Absame and why I say let's just say it's 1 million for argument sake. So we know in order to constitute 1 million you need a 'goof' uu dhigma 45,000 SQ KM. The only exception will be given is to 'cities n town n villages' as we can easily 'measure' that with pure mathamatics using area sq x density.
So let's start with Hawiye. Their total population is no more then 5-6 million. I would say it's somewhere between there for Mogadishu getting 2 million and 3 million for hirshabelle/galmudug land 'size' which is 150,000 SQ KM. Galkacyo to Mogadishu is 750 KM in distance but by 'area sq' it's only 150,000 SQ KM and no different in size to 'Majerteniya' land size.
How I reached this conclusions are simple. If Garissa is 1 million for 45,000 SQ Land mass. Then if you have 150,000 SQ km land mass your population cannot exceed 1 million per 45,000 SQ KM, since we know it's total 150,000 SQ KM. Then we can assume the total population in hirshabelle/galmudug is 45,000 x 3 giving a land mass of 135,000 SQ KM and therefore a population of 3 million. For the last 15000 SQ KM u can take that against land mass and say 15000 sq km/45000 sq km to give u a 'percentage' which in this case is 30% of garissa land mass and hence 30% of it's over-all population which wud give an extra 300,000 people for whopping total of 3.3 million but I will be generous and round it of to 3.5 million for galmudug plus hirshabelle.
Mogadishu is the next one and all you need to do is measure 100 by 100 meter which is only 5 homes in that small boxed area if u assume each house dimension is 20 x 20 blocks. Then sample those 5 homes and ask for the number of people if u get varying figures such 2 ppl in one home, 4 in another, 6 in another and the variation continues, u will need to 'average' it by taking the total number of people in those 5 homes say it's 20 and then dividing it over 5 homes to get an average which is 4 ppl per home. In this case lets 20 people exist in 100 by 100 meter and 4 people per home.
If we extend that measurement from 100 x 100 meters to 1000 x 1000 meters that will translate from 5 homes and 20 people to 5000 homes and x 4 is house population ratio which will give 20,000 people in one sq km area of mogadishu. Since Mogadishu total area sq is 90 sq km. Then u will know 20,000 x 90 sq km is 1.8 million. Mogadishu is the range of 1.5 to 2 million maximum or else u wud need to assume higher density rate which I clearly don't see. I don't see 1000 people in 5 homes and 100 by 100 meter sq kkkkk so u will need to prove your maths with just using 5 homes and the population inside it because we can extrapolate that data into the whole 'city measurement's' quite quickly as long as we settle on the 'population in small' area that me and you can both 'document' as a baseline.
So anyways let's just say mogadishu is 2 million maximum(subject to density) and 3.5 million in hirshabelle/galmudug. That's a total of 5.5 million I wud also deduct 500k for Abudwaq portion and Madows and other non hawiyes who live there and let them take 5 million for Hawiye as a whole. That's it guys. Hawiye kama badno 5 million. While Majerteniya kama Badno 3.5 million for 150,000 SQ KM which is galkayo to bosaso, iyo makhir/khatumo kama badno 1.5 million since they sit on the remaining 70,000 SQ KM of Puntland territory since it's 220,000 SQ KM calculates all harti lands in PL/MAKHIR/KHATUMO.
Jubaland need to sit down and really 'share' their shit, I will be suprised if it's above 2 million in all honesty. So if PL has 5 million and 2 million in JL, we looking at Darod population of 7 million from the over-all population of Somalia with Hawiye constituting 5 million for Mogadishu/GM/HS which i subtracted their 500k for marehans/cad cads/Madows in their dominions which is a fair substraction. They will get boost from Isaaq/Samaroon with Awdal at 500k and Isaaq at 2 million for their tiny 'goof' of Waqoyi Galbeed/Togdheer/Western portion of Sanaag. So dalkani waa Darod 7 million, Hawiye/Dir/Isaaq 7 million, The rest is Digil iyo Mirifle 3 million. This gives a final count of 15 million in my estimations.
