Conviction when it comes to Islam is called yaqeen. It’s not arrogance whatsoever. This isn’t a modern sheikh new idea either. It shows the strength of one’s belief.
Correction: The English term most commonly used for yaqeen is certainty. It fits it much better than conviction. @mrlog Sorry don’t want to give you misleading info.
