He rests at the hills of Iimey in S Galbeed. Here is the account of his Sr Council and close confidantes: A Dhoore, Sh Yusuf, X Dhiqle, and Aw Cabdille.

If we were to find his actual remains how would we know and would it be possible to build a tomb? Much like the other national tombs in other nations.
Why would we want to do that?

No clue just a thought that came to mind whilst looking at national tombs like napoleon's.
It shall morph into human worshiping, which is not permissible in Islam.

I'm pretty sure no one worships napoleon and the like. Somalis have many tombs all over the Penisular for ever and we do not worship any.
Are you familiar with Sh Barkhadle where Sh Yusuf al Kawnayn is buried outside of Hargeysa? People pay annual visitations to the site performing rituals similar to Haj. Similar practices exist, I think in Sh Hoose with some local Sheikhs. Imagine that.

Aren't Salihi sufis against that kinda thing
It's in Imey, somewhere around the lands known as Qarri(this is where the mountain qarijiqood got its name from). Ayuun, Barmiil, shafmaarood, Hidigta, etc... all these are settlements now that surround that mountain. It could be anywhere here, or on the mountain itself.
