I dont think you can cure homosexuality because its a sexuality. They cant help who they are attracted to, just like how we are โstraightโ. However in Islam gay people are expected to abstain and control their gay urges.

I don't think people start off this way. Humans begin as asexual, with psychosexual development occurring much later. Drugs/certain chemicals can interfere with sexual attraction. There appears to be a high prevalence of childhood sexual trauma among them. Parasites can actually influence human and animal behaviour, and well they tend to have more than their heterosexual counterparts.

I'm sure research heavily leans on the environmental side. If gayness was genetic then it would have been outside the gene pool a long time ago since you need to reproduce to pass on the gay genes, and if gayness contradicts reproduction, with an already rough environment, those genes would have been x out.

If one applies rationality and logic to this looking at the facts, then the people are just born that way makes no sense if the genetic basis is their argument. Because what you hear often is, "You can't choose your sexuality." Does that apply to people who are attracted to animals too? Of course, not. And that shows you their lack of judgment and hypocrisy. It's not a coherent argument that is sound.
Now, I have no doubt that some people "feel" gay and that they think they have always been that way, but the same argument can be applied to genetic men who say they feel like women or random people who say feel like a dog. It is totally false, subjective, and lacks any scientific basis, let alone human intuition or sense.
And by the way, I am a fair person. I don't try to insult people that have same-sex attractions or try to make them feel terrible but I think it is important to get to the roots of this and stop being subject to their ideology because LGBTQ is an ideology. There are gay people who don't agree with LGBTQ. There are even gay people who struggle with different things but know that it is caused by the environment. Maybe they were touched by an adult as a child, which is why many p*rnstars start the p*rn industry later, and somehow all the women and probably lowkey all the males do gay behavior. This is learned behavior that stems from a sick society.
I mean just think about it. People develop different types of fetishes later in life, and it can go in pretty bizarre ways. None of those behaviors is something that is coded inside a baby.
