I know one, my cousin has albinism. I always thought she looked cool but she was very insecure about it and even wanted to dye her hair once, she always wears sunglasses when she goes out bc her eyes are very sensitive and shes pretty much the only person of all my relatives who gets sunburned.
When I was little I was afraid I would stop developing melanin and get vitiligo bc i thought it was a gene thing hahaha

when I saw this horse with albinism it's colours kinda reminded me of her. Best cousin ever, wished we lived in the same town </3

It takes an even more unusual person to find peace in their uniqueness. Just tell her it's her choice to find beauty or discomfort in who she'll be till the day she dies.

My granpa on my mothers side had complete heterochromia in his eyes lol I never thought these cases like my grandpa and your cousin would be in the genepool

I think both parents have to have the gene, it must not be widespread, since you need both parents to be carriers, I assume people were shunned in the past.
