I would still love my kid, it’s a test from Allah, what kind of parent would I be to turn my face away from my child in times when you need them the most?

All I can do is raise them to the best of my abilities and once they become an adult just hope for the best. That's the fun thing about genetics you'll never know how your kid turns out. Even if you and your wife are very smart and capable there's still a large chance your kid can turn into a lowlife.

I'd hope for the best, there's no point in thinking/worrying about something that you have very little control over.

Once/If I do have kids, then I'd raise them with the best of my abilities and provide them with the best of what I can offer, just as my parents have done for me and my siblings.

I do think about it. Hence why I’m so selective about men, because I care about the type of father I want my children to have. It’s really more about them than it is about me, if that makes sense.

I think it comes down to simple biology, the woman(female) will want the best possible mate to ensure healthy offspring that would have access to the appropriate resources.

Throughout the animal kingdom and in the human world(with a few more nuances) it's the same, the male has strong urges to spread is seeds as much as he can, regardless of his condition. Whereas the female would be very selective with who she couples with, and would observe males compete amongst themselves and she'd mate with only the best possible candidate.


Not trying to compare any woman to an animal of course, but just noting on that strong sense of being very selective, it's absolutely natural.
