Not just the rapping itself, but the history.

K Khanderson Coping through the 1st world VIP Aug 6, 2023 #5 Hip-hop to me defines art mixed with activism. People express their struggles through their artistry. So rap is pretty much a good example. Take Eminem for example: he expresses his former drug addiction and how hard it was for him to cope. To me it resonates how vocal one can be when expressing their struggles and converting it into an art. But my problem with the hip-hop industry is how it can influence people the wrong way. I feel like the thug culture and the gang banging and their hate for authorities influenced the younger demographics. Parents shouldn’t let their kids listen to these songs unless their old enough to make decisions. But if I have to rate the industry besides the glorifying of sex and gang banging… I appreciate their artistry and rhythm.
