Do you guys donate to your qabiil?

'Clan elders' (sub-clan of my sub-clan) asked my dad and uncles to pressure me into donating lacag to fund a political campaign (they weren't even honest about this).

Obviously, I help family back home. And I will donate to charities that help people back home.

But I won't support a political campaign just because we're the same qabiil. The mf my sub-clan was supporting was already a rich man, and would no doubt pocket some of the political donations. He was also making unrealistic promises to the voters. As it happens, he lost.

These clan elders are very sneaky. I have no idea how they got my info; family swear it wasn't them. They even know when I change jobs and move cities.

I've requested that the clan delete my name from their databases for future donations lol

During the last election, eedo tried to get me to donate to a relative candidate who stood no chance against the heavyweights. I said I loved her but I had to pass. She was upset I supported a different candidate :)

They've asked me to help buy technicals before. I refused because i doubt funding foreign wars is legal in the uk.

Then again I'm sure most of my adeers sent money and none of them ended up in a shipping container with an mi5 operative.

A technical costs like 25k every sub clan got dozen of those it's not a big deal. I only donate to humanitarian cause like someone sick or dying or raises orphans/special needs and during droughts.

There's a WhatsApp group where each person donates like $10-20 a month to go towards either some poorer kids education, medical costs for elderly people, etc.

I don't donate now because I am still in uni but I would not donate to my qabil as my intentions but my intentions would be to develop galmudug and I would do that by investing in the youth, like donating school supplies and building orphanages
