Cushites live in the desert from Egypt to Kenya. If you want to count heavily Madow admixed groups like Maasai and Tutsi sure, again they're Madow. The cushites that live in rainy, green parts are typically highland (for example Ethiopian highland) away from exposure to malaria.

Why do North African suffer from the disease a lot too when it's only Madow disease?

It's not a Madow disease, it's a malaria resistance disease. People in Arabia and India have it too. Malaria can't infect sickle cells so it's selected for.
