I don't think we have any significant amount of gas or oil, otherwise we would at least see studies and research on them. The Congo and even Afghanistan got a large amount of resources discovered that made superpower like China rush to Taliban to make deals, all that due to research done on them. But we don't see something like that, although Somalia is relatively more peaceful on North and North-East.

Outside investors don't know who to do a deal with so why would they invest atleast talibans have control of their countries likewise with congo somaliyee is clash of clans

Somalia has known massive offshore oil and gas ,
Proven onshore oil as well .
Ofcourse untouched uranium deposits too
You think the americans and u.n have been pouring in "donations" to Somalia all these years because they think were great fellas ?
