Salaama aleikum, I recently took a dna test & I was wondering if these haplogroups are common with Somalis.

Both, my grandmother from my mums side is from Puntland, my grandfather is from Mogadishu. From my dads side my grandmothers is from Gedo & My grandpa he lived shortly in baidoa but return to yemen

No it was 50% i will insert a screenshot of all the results. I have a high % of Eritrean, do you think thats from my yemeni side? I have seen some allot of ppl from Yemen tend to have high % of Ethiopia or Eritrea.

That's really interesting wow! I think you are right, a lot of Yemenis tend to score Eritrean. Did you do you test awhile ago? If so did you DNA resultsever update? I know 23andMe does updates once in awhile

I think you paternal haplogroup is Semitic while your maternal haplogroup seems to be commonly found among Somalis. Do you know what yfull is? It can show you a more detailed analysis of you paternal haplogroup , other sites have ones for you maternal one. They are pricey though.

I haven't done neither 23andMe or yfull but Inshallah I will in the future

Yes, you could determine which qabil you are ypd means time your related. TMRC is time formed. Those are sub clade's.

I just took a look on the website of yfull & i saw they have 2 test available a mtdna interpretation & a y+mt interpretation wich is better i am kinda new to all of this.

If you do whole genome sequencing in Nabula on black Friday, then you could than oplaod your results on Yfull, also you will get mt tree on Yfull, paternal and maternal. Plus you will get full health report.
