Somalia in all honesty has slowly crawlled from 91-2004 conditions. If anyone is mistaken about this era, it was a complete vacuum with no state, institution, diaspora, or even a UN spot among the nations or any international assistance. We came from that period to create a transitional federal govt under Abdillahi Yusuf and put Somalia back on the map and in the capital even tho it came with a blood-bath but it was a blood-bath that has put us where we are today a 4th world trusteeship and diaspora slowly returning to rebuild.
Yes a 4th world trusteeship status is relatively better then 91-2004 conditions even tho it doesn't satisfy us at the slow crawl. In 2012 the TFG got it's transitional constitution and in 2016 the Somali govt got international recognition only but not international confidence in it's state and why they are not even approved for loans like other 3rd world countries becuz their is no international confidence and the international community in shipping containers in halane also solidifies this.
Then Farmajo era came and public confidence rose to never before seen levels locally and internationally and their was hope that he would end the international community lack of confidence and begin debt relief process, people whether local/foreign were expecting Somalia would stand among the 3rd world nations and get nation building loans.
This optimism ended with HSM era, his first run as president only created GM/HS paper states thru the will of a 'few' not the 'many' as they don't have even have constitutions and resemble the status of a private shop and continously get recycled when-ever a new govt emerges in Mogadishu. He left a terrible legacy in his first run as president in 2012-2016 as the nation was in conflict, our seas sold to kenya, he was conflicting with PL and created the situation of GM attacking, he also tried proxy war in JL through local stooges.
But this time round we see a very DARKER image emerging, their is conflict nation wide, nepotism is re-introduced, corruption is not even measurable. Security situation is said to be the worst with shabab as shabab has embedded itself within his govt security sector, it's in every fabric of the south social-business-religious circles. He has 66000 Somali and Amisom soldiers who can't even destroy one of shabab dimension '5000 soldier' let alone address a potential insurgency through NISA which their inside of.
What is your say? is all the progress done by Puntland to create a transitional constitution in 2012, establish the TFG in Mogadishu, Gaas ending the transition and then HSM era sending it all back untill Farmajo came with hope to enter 3rd world respected member status all going to be un-done by the end of his term and the 91 NAKBA era is re-established? I think nothing will be left of all the progress achieved even if slow since 2000 till now the nation rebuilding attempts began.
