What will happen to the west if they continue to break up the nuclear family???

If y’all haven’t heard, David Brooks, a conservative political and cultural commentator, has stated that the nuclear family was a mistake.

What is the nuclear family?

1. a couple and their dependent children, regarded as a basic social unit.

So which is better? A nuclear family or extended or none?
A nuclear family comprises father, mother and the children, while an extended family comprises nuclear family (ies), grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and others.

What do you mean by breaking up the nuclear family exactly? They are not forced by the government infact they are given tax breaks often. I don’t see how they are breaking it up .
