I feel like if Afrobeats was created in America using their platforms it would've been way more popular than rap. Nigerians are carrying the African music scene, tiktok been showing alot of light to it. I hope it continues to grow they make some bangers

Nonsense, African-Americans laid the foundation for Black entertainment, Hip-Hop which you can see even in faraway places such as Japan, as well as influencing the Kpop scene, Jazz, blues, rock, even country music they've contributed to. Thats not what hes saying though hes talking about being better preformers, the genres you mentioned are only famous because they were made in America which has the most influence in the world. Nobody gives a shit about Africa they look at us as poor naked people so they don't got same reach until the last 5 years.

Black entertainment... he said it himself, so I'll include other genres. AA's did not only just produce rap lol, that's my point. Sorry, but there is no world where an Afro-beat artist will reach the infamy of Tupac, Micheal Jordan (I know he's not an artist, but sports falls under entertainment) or Will Smith.
Of course because they live in America they have the most media influence in the world, Afro beats struggle because Nigeria, Ghana don't have the same influence to world like USA does. . Only since tiktok started the rest of the world discovered the talent of afro beats.
In previous societies people who were entertainers were always viewed as being the bottom of the foodchain when talking about how society viewed them
West Africans are getting a little too arrogant if they’re starting to compare their entertainment with African Americans.
Top global music artists are African American. No other group at the time being can even touch a candle to their influence or performance talents.
African Americans have to be the most famous black ethnicity that not only invented new styles of music, but popularized it globally. It’s like a baby hyena going and trying to compete with a full grown lion pack leader.
No offense to west Africans, their music is good but sometimes you have to know when to humble yourself and know who’s more talented than you.
Akon is taking some low blows at AA’s. I don’t see why he feels it’s necessary to tear down another group that paved the way for him to enter an industry they created to prop African talent up. He’s beefing hard with AA.
Thankfully, we Somali’s are not involved in this beef. This diaspora war is usually between AA and West Africans…

That’s not why our music is more popular. Our music is more popular because we’re the salt of the earth as Christ said in Matthew 5:13. Israelites (so-called Negroes) have always been more talented and more beautiful than Hamites (so-called Africans). The global “black” beauty standard of the world is Israelite women and Mamzer (mixed) women. Hamite women aren’t on nobody’s radar in terms of beauty.
East African women (or hamites) as you say to antiquity and modern times are the most beautiful women globally.
