Denmark has made a secret agreement with Somalia only to send 12 Somalis homes a year.

It writes Politiken, who has knowledge of confidential information from the Immigration and Integration Affairs. The information was in March delivered to parliament in a closed session.

Danish immigration authorities reprocess currently 800 Somalis stay basis. So far, they expelled the 57th

The agreement therefore means that several hundred Somalis can come to sit on a Danish departure center for many years.

Danish Refugee Council believes that it is untenable that Denmark treat so many cases when the government knows that few can be sent home.

- It will of course mean that many people will get stuck at a departure center for years, says asylum Manager Eva Singer Politiken.

The agreement on readmission is spoken and signed with the previous government in Somalia at a meeting in May 2016, when a Somali delegation in Copenhagen.

Immigration Rapporteur for the Danish People's Party Martin Henriksen will not comment on the confidential information which has become available on Somalia.

He says, however, generally like:

- In general, we believe that whether people come from Afghanistan, Somalia or Iraq, there must be a much greater effort to get more involved their residence and come in broadcast position, says the rapporteur.

He also believes that it is important that foreigners are at the departure center until they can be sent home.

- There is no perspective to let these people believe that they have a future in Denmark, he says.

Immigration and Integration Minister Inger Stรธjberg (V) has to Politiken declined to comment on the agreement.

The Ministry informs, however, that Denmark for a long time has been working to establish cooperation with Somalia. It takes place in confidence.

I believe this is a new agreement between the Farmaajo regime and the Danish government.
According to the article there are 800 Somali asylum seekers in Denmark and due to the strict immigration laws imposed by DFP, I think more than half of them will be rejected. That means they'll be stuck in a detention centre for years :francis:
