Deni has been saving up the salaries of Puntland's government employees and soldiers fighting in Cal Miskaad for 3 years now. It is now time that the rightful owners of those tens of millions, federal senators & MPs, to get the money due to them. Deni will come back in June 2026 and begin collecting money again until 2030.
I was in Puntland earlier this year, and I don't think Puntland can survive like this for another 4 years. Every single person you talk to who has any money is talking about leaving for Nairobi, Cairo or Jigjiga. A family of five could live in Jigjiga on half of what it costs to live in Garowe. Thousands of people are getting laid off by international NGOs and have nothing to do. Puntland is staring into a dead end.
