Unfortunately, if China doesn't collapse within the next decade, they will take Taiwan. Taiwan is only good for one thing in the Wests eyes and that is providing Semiconductors, however both South Korea and the United States are starting to produce their own Semiconductors. If they are successful in doing this, Taiwan will essentially be useless and China can swallow it up.

China isn't stupid they like to play the long game, they have slowly been lobbying politicians in the west for their own interests.
