I disagree with this. I think one of the most evil sayings is this phrase "you can't legislate morality". It is very popular but what it means in practical terms is the state should sit back and just allow the society to degenerate into an immoral cesspool.

Look at things like OnlyFans. No one in their right mind would be opposed to it being shut down.

But the state can come in and shut down that kind of thing and do it all within the law.

But if private citizens want to fight it, besides just speaking, what can they do? The only real option they would have is vigilante violence- which of course I do not support.

In Iraq, I remember I read about a case where an OnlyFans "model" was murdered.

The state should intervene so this kind of thing doesn't end up happening, the society is not a cesspool and you also don't have social unrest being stirred up to due to disrespect of moral norms.
