It makes sense when you consider that UAE, Bahrain and Morocco all normalized their ties with Israel (i.e. recognized the state of Israel) in 2020 with the Abraham accord.

One of the conditions in the proposal was cutting all ties with Israel. Of course, they will not agree to it, now that they seemingly have 'good' ties.

Although I disagree with this decision (on a personal level). What the president has done is in act diplomacy in the equation, which I wholeheartedly agree with. What is he meant to do exactly ?. Please explain to us all what he should have done ?

I saw people making the argument that Farmaajo was neutral in the dispute between Bedouins and HSM followed suit and abstained from this vote. First of all that argument is flawed because Palestine is well established and 100 year old dispute that lead to many wars that are still happening today you cannot compare that to a minor dispute between Bedouins.

I support the decision to abstain, but I don't think Farmaajo would have abstained from such decision. He would most certainly support Palestine and this is why America wanted him gone.
