With the west becoming more right-wing, globalisation STARTED by them is ending ( they expanded all over the world). People are starting to identify by their roots more strongly. Assimilation is failing.
Westerners also are looking for their identity. They have lost their culture only thing left is their language. Everything that made them unique has been erased due to modernisation. Sad reality.
I welcome this deveploment. People should know their roots and have loyalty for their origins. As somalis we have this but need to take the next step. Stop talking and actively do something. In large scale. We are lacking in this part. I am planning to plant trees and open a farm back home to feed the people. Permaculture is the next big thing in agriculture and will help somalis.
Economic globalisation will continue but with coronavirus exposing the vulnerability and dependence of other countries, sovereign states will start making domestic supply lines.
