Most of the 'right wing'/'centre right' in Europe would fall on the political spectrum much closer to the Democrats than to the Republicans. They have already embraced the welfare state, universal healthcare, and even to an extent cultural Marxism.

Instead the truly new and dangerous force are the so called hypernationalist right wingers, the spectrum now is really just them vs all the others.

I agree with @Amun on this, it's going to go downhill from this year onward. Economic insecurity is what fuels populism and with the European economy picking itself at a tremendous rate it's back to the closet for most of these populists. America's cholera outbreak 'Donald Trump' and the Brexit shit show has helped most of these twats come to the realisation that drastic changes might not be what they actually want and they can't f*ck around with votes. Trump isn't going to be delivering on everything he promised that'll play a vital role too in my opinion.
