There is no difference, a lot of Somalis back home are darkskinned people, and If I'm not mistaken it is very hot in these deegaans.

There are no light skin Somalis in baadiyo due to them being exposed to intense heat for long periods everyday. It's in the genes though and once they avoid the sun, they get a bit lighter. It's very common to see two dark skin parents with light skin children in diaspora due to UV.
