Coffee

Really? I thought it was 40% Muslim, 50% Christian and 10% Waaq

We’re mostly Muslims. All eastern Oromos and majority of southern Oromos and Northern Oromos are Muslim. The west and central are Christian with a large Muslim minority in those regions. Those the practice waaqefatta are really small in the Borana region.

Question,
How do you say Coffee in Oromo?
I thought there was a Kaffa region in Ethiopia where the name coffee came from.

I'm tired of Arabs constantly claiming Horn African creations.

Depending on where you live in the west, some cities or counties have larger populations of Oromos from certain regions. Example, Seattle US is a Arsi Oromo city, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto CA are mainly Hararge Oromo etc.

The ones you met are most likely Wallaga Oromos who are Protestant Christians.

Coffee in Oromo is Buna. Coffe is originally from Kaffa and Jimma regions, which is where the word Coffee or Cafe comes from.

Yeah Arabs are annoying when it come to claims. We knew of coffee seeds long before any Arab visited the region.
