Their government sold the people to foreigners just to make money for themselves. Foreigners companies around the world Japanese, Chinese, Europeans etc build their company in Congo and use their civilian to find any resources so they can sell it. The youngest that could work is around 5-6 all the way to old age and they make barely any money from it despite working for long hours. Also you got the Rwandas killing Congolese for their country resources. It’s messed up but it’s their government fault they don’t care about their own people

All our technology, whether it’s your phone, car, military equipment etc. Will not have come to fruition if it wasn’t for the Congo and their resources. Every single major corporation are currently in that nation exploiting them, previous governments have tried to nationalise their resources and bring their country back from the brink of catastrophe. But the powers that be have always caused discourse and destruction. Millions of innocent people have lost their lives because of the gold mine they sit on. Much like other African nations it’s not always that easy, there are those who wish to see you in perpetual darkness so that they can take advantage.
