You can't just dump treasury bonds at will because they have a maturity date and if that happens, China will get less returns for their original investments. let's say they get rid of the 1.2T. US dollar will go down, and our export will become cheaper and shoot through the roof. Basically it's not gonna do much like my fellow American said because our economy is like 20 times bigger.

They could drop the bonds if they see risk of US defaulting.
