Brother let me tell you something, China built a Train for Kenya Railway from Nairobi to Mombasa, only 6 hours cleaning and cheap only $8 I took it in February 2021 from Nairobi to Mombasa.
From Mombasa to Kasumu and to Nairobi
Love it , is like British Rail or Amtrak or Europe it worth it.

Useless and overhyped and expensive.

A super highway would cost less and be more efficient and effective.

What 3rd countries dont understand about debt is that you need to tax people to raise revenue and repay the dept. And for that you need a modern banking system, you need to know how much people earn and tax them. The money doesn't automatically return to the government, you have to extract the new income from the economy.

So they should first modernize the banking system and the state, and then take on debt

That is whyblife in Kenya has become very hard for commoners and they even changed the KES 1000 and told people to go to their respective banks to exchange with the new KES 1000 within few months .The banks would not physicaly give you the money but will deposit it on your account.Which makes it easy for the Tax agency to be alerted and they will question you on where the source of your income is and will tax it.

Cheap because it is subsidised so that people use it instead of using Coaches.

yeah the banks help pay the tax to the government, its all algorithms and software
