If you compare HSM and Farmajo, who's your pick
Farmaajo is corrupt but in a different way. He’ll break the laws of the country if he thinks you can bring an end to his agenda. Political assassinations and using al shabaab are the lengths he’s gone. He was okay with his salary and all his accounts being monitored by the ministry of finance which was corruption free for the first time in many years. That’s good, but he still bullied parliament to push some things through, as well as creating a unified force to oust him from his arrogance.

strengths: nationalist (hates foreigners and tried to get rid of them), foreign policy (put fear in African countries), and lends helping hand to all Somalis regardless of background.

weaknesses:
-Dumbass (his whole term came crashing down from a single man who wanted to become prime minister who wanted to become PM, all because he needed money)
-naive (tends to not see the deception Somalis put onto him until it’s too late, until it too late)
-arrogant (even his ministers turned against him at the last second, those he trusted, all over his own want to stay in office)

him staying in office was well planned though. Iykyk

Hassan is good in that he always lends his ear to former opposition to hear all sides before he makes a decision. His foreign policy is extremely weak, to the point where it’s a direct threat to the nation. By any means necessary, he keeps UAE happy to keep xamar from becoming IED zone once again. Has no problem employing those who will use state funds meant for Somalis affected by drought, to build a house in Nairobi or buy his own jet.

strengths: understands the inner politics of Somalia better (knows when to act, and when to spectate, doesn’t just take the side of those who got him elected), winner takes all (wants to control Somalia by any means necessary, even if it means doing the most treasonous things), cordial with the west (doesn’t get our country too close to the eastern axis which there’s no coming back from), this has certain perks, but they want worse for Somalia by trying to turn it into Congo, which doesn’t amount to much) and Keeps the capital relatively safe

Weaknesses: corrupt (this is a genuine threat to our nation sometimes, and is treason in some cases. His government fired the former auditor for trying to stop this), weak leader (openly spoken of as weak by other leaders, while smiling, this weakness leads to wolves preying on us, which has led to Ethiopia seeing a moment of opportunity with Hassan in charge), anarchy (has vested interests in the rest of Somalia, not wadani), and he loves foreigners (not only did he replace atmis with a new one under a different name, but he’s invited countries to build bases with no return, except the US)

farmaajo, I’d take anyone in NN over him, there’s even many candidates from the 13 or so other parties who look more promising, the bar is really low here.

Everyone knows the truth about their relationship bro dw about this. It’s a reason they’re attacking now and not….
I don't have two cents in this convo, I have very little trust for most politicians except for a handful e.g Hassan Ali Khaire.

Fairs. Khaire would be a good president.

To me non-wadani behaviour to the point of flirting with secessionism among many other things are unforgivable.

We only have ourselves to blame, this is why I advocate for autonomous states with very little Federal intervention unless it affects laws passed by the legislative branch or external agents.

I disagree about autonomous states since I saw last term that uniting the country is easily attainable, the part your completely right about though, is our puppets in charge being what hold us back. Especially western sponsored ones. Those that lean towards the east like khaire & farmaajo are better

By autonomous states something similar to the US, atm where nothing but a small poor insignificant country, we need to stay out of the limelight and grow.
