The Arabs of Iran are divided into three sections. The first section is the “Arabs of the Coast,” who are Arab tribes and clans who settled in some villages and towns on the Iranian coast as a result of migrations at different times from the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq, where they settled in the eastern coast region of the Arabian Gulf. The second section is the “Arabs of Ahwaz,” who are an Arab community in the Ahwaz region, western Iran. They are considered the largest Arab community in Iran, and they speak Arabic in the Ahwazi dialect, and the third group is the “Khorasan Arabs”, who are the Arabs who live within the provinces of Khorasan in eastern Iran, and their origins go back to tribes such as the Banu Shayban, the Banu Khuzaymah, the Azd, and others.
