Cadaans in Canada are puzzycats and harmless. Do not believe these ghetto girls or whatever try are. They will promote you and lick your futo if you are even a few IQ points higher than average intelligence. The problem is there are just too many dumb people in the country and they want to succeed. Almost every Nigerian and Ghanaian I know are all doing well and they came to the country less than 5 years ago. Where's the racism they faced? Where's the racism faced by Ethiopians who own 2500 sq ft homes after coming here in 2010? All lies from lazy people who don't work hard and don't save their money.

I'm in america right now, left toronto 6 months ago.... no matter how comfy canada is(and it ain't anymore) america has WAY more financial opportunity, like its insane over here. I have seen more successful somalis over here then I ever did in canada, and the amount of Canadians that moved over here this past year is telling.💯 if you wanna move up the socioeconomic ladder then america is the place to be, they might have a more dangerous society, but they got a better financial system then us.💯💯💯
How did u get jobs there as Canadian??

I’d rather live in Europe than Canada to be honest. Europe has great work/life balance 2 months paid vacation leave, better weather, cheap travel, less corrupt, lower crime, more interesting in terms of culture and history.

Canada is Sh1t. Canadians have no work/life balance, terrible paid leave (only 10 days 🤦🏾‍♂️), absolutely Sh1t weather 10 months of the year, you have to use a car to drive everywhere, crime is through the roof especially in cities, boring, no history and culture, politicians who are corrupt and mercy to the corporations, a European salary with American toxic long work hours basically worst of both worlds, extremely expensive place to live in etc I could go on and on…….

Don’t get me wrong, Europe has its problems especially in the U.K., with low salary compared to USA, but the positives far outweighs the negatives. When I’m talking about Europe I’m referring it to Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Spain and to a lesser extent the U.K.. Another benefit of living in Europe is that you can have an access to the most reliable passport in the world, the EU passport, where you can travel and work freely in Europe.

I advice reer Canadians to move to the USA, even though the USA has absolutely crap work/life balance, at least Americans get paid way more, and the weather is much better, plus cheaper houses. Move to Europe if you value family life in terms of time off from work, spending time with family, vacations etc.

Don’t move to the U.K. though, it’s becoming a sh1thole, but would rather live here than Canada. Thank god I have an eu passport.

It's telling they are not leaving Canada despite their criticisms. Why don't they go back to Nigeria? The only immigrants who leave Canada are those who come for the passport when they are millionaires in their own country and have businesses there or those who couldn't make it.

Canadian income taxes for middle income earners are comparable to the US and this is with universal health care and a better safety net. We are less taxed than most western countries and are at the bottom half of the list. Value added taxes is 13% in Ontario while other countries are over 20. That's less than most western countries. It's not like Nigeria with zero taxes and no infrastructure.

If you're in the hospital for 10 hours, it means your condition is not an emergency. Hospitals are for emergencies. People with the flu go to the hospital and want to be seen right away. You have no business being at the hospital. Go stay in bed and let the flu sort itself after a few days.

Most of their issues are the same in other countries. Even white foreigners in the comment section were saying their own countries have the same problem. The only unique issues they raised were high cell phone bills and the cold. Big deal that you have to pay $60 for your cell bill instead of $30.

You have the weekends and at least 1 public holiday a month. Some months have 2 or 3 public holidays a month. 9-5 jobs are the norm in all western countries. And most professional jobs start at 3 weeks for fresh graduates, not two weeks. They're referring to people in qashin jobs. I have four weeks at a private company and 5 personal days. Of course you have to work 5 days a week. That's life everywhere in the west. Why are they complaining about working 5 days out of the week? Typical lazy African mentality.

If you are bored it's a reflection on you, not the country. Go sign up for activities and events. Get memberships. Go experience nature. Go fishing. Go to the beach. Go to the mountains. Go to provincial parks. Go do a BBQ with your friends or go outdoor skating with the family. Stuff Africans don't want to do. What did they do for fun in Nigeria?

They're complaining that they cannot become a millionaire and a billionaire in Canada. Looool. Yes you can but like everywhere in the world, it's extremely rare.

These people wanted the care free life of Africa where no one contributes to anything but they still have everything the west has to offer. Typical Africans. Maybe in your village you can claim to be a professional but we are going to test your qualifications here. Get real. All I see are Africans who thought money grows from trees here.

Somalis are too attached to traveling easily to Africa/Middle-east/Europe so we congregate around Toronto. There are much better opportunities in Edmonton/Calgary. Along with the higher median income and much cheaper housing, the people in those cities are much younger, more likely to have families, etc and in some ways, they're more liberal than the WASPs who control Toronto/Ontario.

Honestly, if you're not in Tech, a licensed profession, or have a technocratic federal/provincial job (the Ottawa ones are best). If you're blue-collar and not in trades, then at least find something unionized and long-term like TTC or Grocery related warehouses like Sysco and Ontario Food Terminal, the amount of young Somalis wasting their time and meat packing plants and shitty warehouses is crazy.

I can't speak for the racism concerns, it's not something I've ever felt I've faced anywhere in the country.

Be honest, USA is way better than Canada, in the US, wages are way higher plus much cheaper houses than Canada, the weather is much better in USA. In Canada the gov will take nearly half of your taxes, crap weather etc. Theres absolutely no point for reer Canada to live in Canada, they should take whatever opportunity to move to USA for a higher standard of living.

The only good thing about Canada is free healthcare but even that is in danger of getting privatised, and a bit safer than USA, other than that, USA is better at everything. No wonder there’s brain drain highly skilled workers from Canada leaving for USA.

hell no.

More racial tension, unpaid health care, higher focus on politics(which is bad), higher school debt, mass shootings, less multicultural, worse air quality and many more factors are reasons why I'll never live in the States.

Unless you're a millionaire that lives in a nice gated community, then no way is the states better than Canada.

Not to mention, you can Work from home and get jobs in the states while still living in Canada.

Only thing States has Canada beat is higher paying jobs(which I refuted above) and low housing costs.

Most of my friends in the states that work in tech are planning to come back to Canada now that they're planning to start or already have started families. The stress and headache from worrying about which school your kids go to and the neighborhood you live in aren't worth it for some.

Also, all of these benefits from moving to the US should really be restricted to young healthy people working in in-demand fields. I have a brother who had to go through chemotherapy while in University (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) and reading the stories from americans on the /lymphoma subreddit about running out of coverage for some of the required medication was crazy.

Walaal, what's going on in Canada? Is the expenses of housing and education really that dire? How are Somalis coping with this? And I never knew Canadian Cadaans were racist like that, colour me surprised.
Yeah I live in Toronto and it's getting bad. But I'm doing well for myself and know that this bubble is unsustainable. In time, once it pops I'll sell my RSUs, and have enough to buy a home for cheap. I'm literally waiting like a stalking panther.

I personally blame this on a couple of things.

1. Low interest rates from CBs create the incentive to have banks buy homes and raise the price. So long as the interest charged by the banks is higher and so long as they can prolong mortgages, they can create a bundle that'll be "affordable" to Canadians.

2. Real Estate shouldn't be such of parasitic investment as it literally impacts people's livelihoods. Many foreigners are buying Canadian homes with no intention in living here but selling it for a profit. There should be a strong foreign tax on Canadian real estate.

3. Our country is essentially connected to the hip with the WEF, and has been making very destructive economic policies that have led to issues pertaining to transportation and food production.

4. The Trudeau administration has been very quick to take out loans. Now I understand that a pandemic will require a stimulus plan, but his lack of foresight on how the CERB program was going to go resulted in a lot of people who didn't need it getting free money and no one paying it back. This is one of the major reasons for our recession.

5. Another cause for the recession was going too far with the vaccination program. Forcing truckers to take the vax was a bad idea. The odds that they would get themselves and others infected are very low, and the transportation industry are instrumental to our ability to maintain lower competitive prices for goods.

I think the government will try to save the housing market and plan bailouts. But by 2023, I don't think it'll be possible to maintain things as they are. We're in a recession, and we could have a rough winter this year.

You must be rich and have your wife working a top job to be talking like that :trumpsmirk:

One thing I didn't get from that vid was the complaints of the Healthcare system in Canada, I hear it's robust and among the best in the world, what did they want? America where people can barely afford insulin?

We're right behind you, hell the entire West is going down this path, one advantage America has over Canada is the amount of land available for living, I believe Canada is only 25 - 30% liveable and most of you guys reside near the border with the States.

America has empty lands everywhere, you can buy cheap homes in New York State, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana etc.

Tarneit has become the new Flemington.

:dead:

Tarneit was quiet before 2014, then everyone moved in, nowadays if you go there it's changed beyond belief

I work for a corporation. I might think about moving to the states if shit gets too bad.

There are loads of jobs here, but a lot of people don't wanna start from the bottom up especially if they have a degree. Then years pass on by. Then they're stuck. Work as soon as possible to build experience and make small steps every year and a half. I genuinely believe everyone here can do it if they set their mind to it.
