Basically you need to pass a vision and written test. Also you have to be sixteen years of age to start your journey to get licensed.

What’s yours like?

You can't get license without being 18:bell:
Am blind as f*ck when the woman asked me to spell out the words I started spelling out letters and numbers even though all of it were numbers:lolbron:
She was like sir do you need glasses:ivers:
I was like naw:mjcry:
She passed me anyways

Well, here in Edmonton, you have to go through a seven step process
1. Be a Canadian citizen with minimum 2 years service in the armed forces
2. Have no criminal record for which a pardon has not been issued, unless the offense was assaulting a Calgary flames fan
3. Show proof of vehicle ownership prior to licensing. Insurance must cover at least 10,000.00. Models are limited to Ford, Chevy, Honda, Hyundai and Audi
4. Declare your political leaning. Proof of voting record is sufficient.
5. Declare your ethnicity and how close you are to being "Caucasian". If you are not biologically Caucasian, declare allegiance and
accept your place in society. Violations of this contract will result in license revocation.
6. Declare your opinion on the probe focused on Trump's Russia ties. There are a list of acceptable views recognized by the registry.
7. Be an Oilers fan and show proof of ticket purchases for the past 5 years.
And that's about it. @lone

The permit test was fairly easy so I've been driving since I was sixteen. After practicing for 2 months I took the license test and bought my first car shortly after. I'm not a very good driver tho since I'm on my 4th car already after crashing two of them:ivers:I drive worse than an asian lady reading a text message while drunk :chrisfreshhah:

In all seriousness tho, I need to slow down:jcoleno:

Okay...you do realize where this is going right? If you crash often you are more likely to be in a fatal collision. Stop driving like an idiot. Settled.

Say what? Aren't you from Minnesota?:what1:
I got mine at 16, got the permit at 15. All you have to do is attend some classes and pass the permit test.

No more jokes. Some folk will believe all that and decide to reside in another province because of the whole list you made up about Alberta.

No shit sherlock. But unlike your pathetic meaningless existence whose entire purpose in life is to enjoy the decadent delusions of this world and mislead others I will not be (God willing) burning eternally in the pits of Jahanam when I die.

Now its settled.

Okay. Every province is different. In Alberta, you go to any registry (private companies issue licenses). Produce ID of some sort and write the written test. You do it on a computer and it's 30 questions, at least 24 of which you must get right. When you get 7 wrong, it locks you out and you fail. If you pass, you go to the front, they check your vision and they give you a paper that is a temporary license. Your hard license will arrive in the mail. This is your class 7 and you must hold it for 9 months (I think) before attempting a road test. There are a series of conditions. For example you may not drive without the supervision of someone that has had a license for 3 years.

You can attempt the road test when enough time has passed. If you pass, you get your intermediate license (Class 5 GDL) and you can now drive on your own. You still have restrictions. For example, you can't drive past 11pm (I think). This is a 1 year period and you must take another road test. Once you pass your second road test, all restrictions are off and you are a regular driver. You now have a class 5 full.

IMPORTANT
- If you get caught driving on a class 7 beginners by yourself, you get a HEFTY fine and suspension

Exam season guys !
In the U.K, you can get a full drivers license once you do all of these.
- Be 17 years old (16 if disabled)
- Get a provisional license
- Do the theory test - 50 questions but to pass you need 43/50 right
- Do the practical test and you’ll be asked to read a license plate 20 metres away
- If you pass 2 and 3, you’ll get the full drivers license

If you’ve failed the theory test, you can’t do practical but if you do the practical and fail that you have 2 years to pass practical otherwise you have to redo the theory test.

Edit: With a provisional license, you can drive but must have a driver over 21 years old with over 3 years experience
