genuine question can our ppl swim? i mean we are a sea fearing ppl and were feared pirates on the indian oceans back in the day. I want to fund a swimming school back home in order to teach ppl from a young age how to swim and will at some point ask my father to lend me some money to put down a deposit towards such a project. We don't want to end up like AA who are stereotyped as not being able to swim. Although jokes aside many ppl simply can't swim not because they have an irrational fear of the water but because they don't have access to public swimming pools, hence why the nasty racist stereotype was spread by whites about AA's who were to poor to afford swimming pools. Besides somalia has the perfect weather for an outdoor swimming pool.

People who live at cities close to the coast probably can swim, others i dont think so

Yeah Somalis can. Somalis bone structure isn't as dense as people from the negroid race.

After that I have Been swimming with ease.

Most of the youth in my village could swim. I learn by myself on a seasonal river near our village.


You stay on the shallows till you learn and then move to the deeper area.

Somalis are certainly better swimmers than most of our neighbours
