Interestingly e-v1515, j and j2 found in afar can be said to be related or linked to semitic population in the middle east. Although e-v1515 is said to be very ancient and native in the horn of africa forming around 12 000 years ago i suspect both j and j2 came from yemen alongside the gee'z 3000 years ago. It's the predominant haplogroups among the afars and the rest compromises around 20% of the afar population. Some afar say that they came from the arabian peninsula so there might actually be some truth to it. I'm surprised they didn't get any t-206. Is this a study? Does anyone have a link for it?
