Calling all Men with Beards

Just wondering what type of beards you guys keep. I'm one of those few Somalis blessed with thick chin strap beard . So how do you guys maintain your beards and what are your daily maintenance strategy to keep it presentable (oil, combing, type of product, etc..)
Also when you shave how many years do you shave off?
I literally look like a 16 yeard old without a beard...

i clean up the bottom and mustache and let everything else fly. will not cut it.

I currently have this style - Common goatee. I trim the moustache when it gets too big like wild wild west.
